They are Growing!

A few pics of a nice wide buck Josh found on his morning run.

 Now that's a boxy frame!
He has been running with a much larger buck. Hopefully we can chase him down.

Hope everyone's preseason preparation is going well.

Preseason Training Grayrock Run

Rainy and Foggy all morning, but great weather for a morning run.

After the fire the grass is coming up great and with all the rain we have had all this summer.
The Clearest view I every got of Grayrock all morning.
There is always something spooky about looking off big drop off's in the fog. It's like looking into the abyss.
View from the peak.

The summit, not much of a view this morning.
Running back down through the burn and all the new growth.

I haven't run this loop for a few years but I was excited to be able to complete this loop in 1h 48min trail head to trail head with a few minutes lost for route finding near the peak.

Archery Turkey Shot Placement

Turkey Shot Placement

One of the most common questions we receive during this time of year is shot placement for turkeys with archery gear. This is a pretty good video going over shot placement.

And if you were wondering if you could use Sitka Gear's Optifade Open Country Pattern during spring turkey this is a picture we took last year right before I closed the deal on a big Kansas Tom.

One Snowy Day in Febuary, We got invited on a Lion Hunt!!

We were lucky enough to get invited along on a Mountain Lion hunt by our friend James. Here are a couple of photos from the day.

A little fresh snow and a coffee stop a great way to start the day.
 Driving in

Elk always a good sign when the animals are up and moving.

It doesn't get much better than sunrise on a cold morning.

Time to get the Girls Ready

 Ready to go!
Guess who is the Puppy? All legs and paws
Sitka gear in the middle of winter? Yeah that works!
The one thing that nobody tells you when you are looking for a lion track is, when you want a lion track everything looks like a lion track but the truth is nothing really looks like a lion track except a lion track.
Well we weren't able cut any fresh tracks that day but we sure had a great time and saw some amazing country.

Minox DTC 500 Trail Camera Pics

Just a few pictures from the over a thousand that our Minox DTC 500 Trail Camera took overlooking an eastern CO waterhole for the last few months.

Great dawn and dusk low light performance.

Lots of Dogs out there on the prairie.

Yep that's a Bird in flight. Hows that for image quality.

The Coyotes look like they spent plenty of time harassing the Antelope during the winter.

 Bird Missile!
So many doggies!

Also just as a little heads up we are going to be having a huge Minox sale starting next week including trail cameras.

Tomorrow I will post what items we are going to have.
